Since the early 70's London's Southbank has been a virtual mecca for not only the capital's skateboarders but also the wider UK skateboarding community. This open public space has served to bring together thousands of young people over the years in a creative and positive way, but that doesn't appear to be a valuable asset in the narrow minds of our country's town planners.
Now 'The Undercroft' 'the sheltered area beneath the Queen Elizabeth Hall' is being seriously threatened by re-development into a commercial shopping area!??!
